Layne Flack – the professional poker pro

While listing out the successful names in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) career, Doyle Brunson, Phil Hellmuth, Johnny Chan are three expected names in there, but Layne Flack is a name, which cannot be avoided for having an astonishing successful career in WSOP events. Layne is from Rapid City, South Dakota and he was raised in Montana. Layne started playing cards with grandparents and he caught the gambling culture so fast while working on his summer job in one of the local casinos.

Layne Flack achieved his very first WSOP bracelet in the year 1999, in the $3000 Pot Limit Hold’em event for $224k. Within three years Layne got his nick name, ‘Back to Back Flack’, while he won two successive events of WSOP, $ 2000 No Limit Hold’em for $ 304k and also the $ 1500 Limit Hold’em for $ 268k.In the year 2003, Layne Flack again proved his gaming skill while he achieved two WSOP bracelets and this time it was $ 2500 Omaha Hi-Low Split for $ 119k and $ 1500 Limit Hold’em Shootout for $ 120k. Layne won his latest bracelet in the year 2008 and it was $ 1500 Pot Limit Omaha Repurchase event for $ 578k. Layne also created memorable appearances while reaching to the four of the final tables in World Tour of Poker (WPT) events for a total of above $ 900k in cashes.

Although, Layne created brilliant memories in his poker career but he also had gone through alcohol addiction problems during his career, more specifically in 2004. Layne recovered from the drug addiction problem by 2009, but still he can be seen with few drinks at times. But, no doubt Layne Flack achieved respect in the world of poker throughout his successful career. He is really an unforgettable name.
